Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's electoral debut in the Waynad Lok Sabha constituency, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla launched a scathing attack and called Priyanka «another dynasty product». He further pointed out why the ticket had not been given to someone from the local population.
«Congress has fielded Priyanka Vadra from Wayanad seat for (Lok Sabha) by-elections, the name of another dynasty product. A party that says 'jitni aabadi utna haq' forgot its own slogan. They should have given ticket to (someone from) the local population. Why did they not?» said Poonawalla.
Hitting out further, Shehzad Poonawalla said that the Congress is not a political party but a family company.
«The 'aabadi' there won't get its 'haq', only the 'parivaar' will get its 'haq' because Congress is a family company, it is not a party. It is the property of one family. One thing is clear, Congress will contest there, Left too can contest there — it had contested against Rahul Gandhi too. So, which one is the real INDI Alliance? Was Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's name put forth after asking the INDI Alliance? Is Left agreeing to this? What kind of alliance is this where they contest against each other? Which one is the real INDI? Priyanka ji or the Left candidate?...» he said.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will file her nomination for Kerala's Wayanad parliamentary by-election on Wednesday (October 23), in the presence of CPP Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Leader of
