Shree Cement on Tuesday reported a 28% year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 675 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024, from Rs 526 crore reported by the company in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.
The revenue from operations stood at Rs 5,433 crore in the quarter under review which was up by 6.5% from Rs 5,100 crore reported in the year-ago period.
The company's board also recommended a final dividend of Rs 55 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2024.
The consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the full financial year stood at Rs 2396 crore which was up from Rs 1,271 crore in FY23. The revenue in the said period was reported at Rs 20,521 crore as against Rs 17,852 crore in FY23.
The company's total expenses in the January-March quarter grew marginally by 0.42% to Rs 4775.35, up from Rs 4755 in Q4FY23. In the previous quarter, the total expenses were reported at Rs 4458 crore.
