Ayodhya on Monday, BJP leaders in different states will facilitate the darshan of the Ram temple for devotees under the 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Darshan Abhiyan'.
From today till March 25, the BJP and RSS have estimated that around one crore devotees will visit Ayodhya. And both organisations have made elaborate arrangements to ensure hassle free darshan of Lord Ram.
When contacted, BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde said the party is only acting as a facilitator to ensure the smooth darshan for Ram Bhakts. «We are not organising anything,» he made it clear.
Sources said Railways charge a reasonable rate for the train facilities.
Devotees will also pay a reasonable amount to get their berths reserved in special trains.
«Ten trains will take devotees from the state's different destinations — Bhagalpur, Munger, Katihar, Motihari and Patna,» general secretary of the BJP's Bihar unit Jagarnath Thakur, who is convenor of this campaign in Bihar, told ET. According to him, the devotees will pay Rs 800 to Rs 900 for travelling by train to go to Ayodhya. «The charge depends on the distance the train will cover from the originating stations,» he said.
The BJP Karnataka unit has targeted to send more than 35,000 persons from all 224 assembly constituencies in the state to Ayodhya from January 31 to March 25.
The trip will be for six days. The teams will include BJP workers and the public who are interested. BJP state president BY Vijayendra said 25 special trains have been arranged for the purpose.
The participants will get an ID card with a QR code. The teams will leave in batches and one team will leave every second day.
The party has fixed a fee of Rs 3,000 per head. In some constituencies, however, local leaders are
