Sebi chief Madhabi Puri Buch on Monday announced that single filing with exchanges would become a reality very soon.
«It is a work in progress. If you file your disclosure in one exchange, it will automatically populate on the website of the other exchanges,» Buch said at a CII Summit.
At present, all listed entities have to make filings on both stock exchanges — NSE as well as BSE — if they are listed on both.
While talking about the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in the capital markets ecosystem, Buch said AI will help the language barrier become a thing of the past. AI can help have IPO summaries in 15 or even 27 languages and help people become informed investors, she added.
On the agenda of financial inclusion, she said unless the cost comes down, inclusion cannot be a reality. For that, the regulator is working with AMFI and mutual fund companies to start Rs 250 SIP.
«We want it to just fly off the shelves,» she said.
