war of words has erupted between Lok Sabha MPs Nishikant Dubey and Mahua Moitra over the ongoing cash-for-query controversy involving the TMC lawmaker. Dubey alleged that Moitra's parliamentary ID was used in Dubai while she was in India, claiming that the National Informatics Centre (NIC) had disclosed this information to probe agencies.
He accused Moitra of compromising the country's security for money and accepting bribes to target the Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In response, Moitra requested the NIC to release all details of MPs publicly to prove their physical presence when their IDs were accessed.
She also criticized Adani for the origin of foreign money in his entities, which she considered a question of national security. Moitra also stated that she would not be silenced by any deals offered by Adani and that she had received a message about an impending CBI raid at her house.
«Sorry Mr. Adani. I am not taking your deal to shut up for six months in return for 'peace'.
And nor am I taking the second deal where I am allowed to attack you but not the PM. Adani used to CASH TO NOT QUESTION. Now he is forced to create a fake CASH FOR QUESTIONS,» she said on X.
Mahua also hit back at Dubey's charges in a series of posts and requested NIC to release all the details of MPs publicly to show that they were «physically present» whenever their IDs were accessed by their PAs and researchers/interns/staff.
«Request NIC to please release ALL details of MPs publicly to show they were physically present in place from where IDs were accessed by their PAs & researchers/interns/staff.
