Gillette India Ltd.(up 2.20%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(up 1.71%), Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(up 1.54%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(up 1.44%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 1.22%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(up 1.17%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.16%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(up 1.08%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 0.82%) and ADF Foods Ltd.(up 0.80%) stood among the top gainers.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 123.31 points down at 22023.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 453.85 points at 72643.43.
