Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market rises

Honasa Consumer Ltd.(up 4.70%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 2.80%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.73%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.51%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 1.24%), Emami Ltd.(up 1.19%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(up 0.97%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 0.92%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.81%) and Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 0.74%) were among the top gainers.

Varun Beverages Ltd.(down 2.13%), Gillette India Ltd.(down 1.24%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 1.16%), Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(down 1.08%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 0.95%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.78%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 0.72%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 0.70%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(down 0.56%) and Adani Wilmar Ltd.(down 0.56%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 205.05 points at 24119.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 712.17 points at 79755.91 at around 11:21AM.
Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 3.65%), Cipla Ltd.(up 3.01%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.91%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.2%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 2.04%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.96%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.75%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.52%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.5%) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.31%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
