Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 293.21 points down at 24717.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 885.6 points at 80981.95.
Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.5%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.25%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.11%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.96%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.61%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.45%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.24%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 0.1%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.06%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
