Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market rises

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 34.6 points up at 25052.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 73.8 points at 81785.56.
LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 6.54%), Wipro Ltd.(up 3.38%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.62%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.36%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.21%), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.06%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.61%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.48%), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.27%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.26%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.29%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.28%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.15%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.12%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.06%), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.96%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.88%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.86%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.85%) and State Bank of India(down 0.8%) closed in the red.
