Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls

MOIL Ltd.(up 2.98%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(up 2.37%), NMDC Ltd.(up 0.59%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 0.52%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(up 0.37%), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.29%), 20 Microns Ltd.(up 0.25%) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers.

Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 5.01%), KIOCL Ltd.(down 1.40%), Pokarna Ltd.(down 1.12%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(down 0.64%) and Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 92.65 points down at 22312.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 346.66 points at 73525.63 at around 11:00AM.
