Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.07% in an upbeat market

Bosch Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.07 per cent at 21015.95 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 101.3 points at 22433.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 442.94 points at 73945.58.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, Infibeam Avenues and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hercules Hoists, Laxmi Goldorna House, Modern Threads(India)Ltd., Jio Financial Servic and Oracle hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MPS Infotecnics, Sindhu Trade, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Medicamen Bio and GPT Healthcare hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
