Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.28% in an upbeat market
Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 2.16 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.76 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bank of Baroda(down 2.27 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 0.86 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 0.76 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.28 per cent at 47052.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 28.9 points at 22246.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 114.85 points at 73273.09.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, NHPC and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Tarmat Ltd, Khaitan(India), SML Isuzu, Chemfab Alkalis and Kriti Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vibhor Steel Tubes, Vaxtex Cotfab, GIR Natureview, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and Norben Tea Exp hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
