Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.03% in an upbeat market

Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 1.38 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.8 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.16 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bank of Baroda(down 0.5 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.03 per cent at 49294.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 38.1 points at 22970.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 112.38 points at 75502.88.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Inox Wind Ltd., RattanIndia Power, YES Bank and NALCO were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of SMS Lifesciences Ind, Sumitomo Chemical, Excel Realty N Infra, Ashima Ltd and DOMS Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Priti International, Revathi Equipment, Lakshmi Precis, Ahimsa Ind and Madhav Marbles hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
