Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.11% in a weak market

Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.18 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent) and Sanofi India Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent) were among the top gainers.

J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.8 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.2 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.11 per cent at 19086.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 4.25 points at 22506.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 67.38 points at 73938.56.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, BEL, Indian Railway Fin and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GRP Ltd, Bharat Bijlee, Elgi Rubber Co, Rolex Rings and Poddar Pigments hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Revathi Equip, Premier Ltd, Megastar Foods, Morarjee Text and Sintex Plastics Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
