Stock market update: Power stocks up as market falls

RattanIndia Power Ltd.(up 4.33%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(up 4.21%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(up 4.04%), PTC India Ltd.(up 3.70%), NLC India Ltd.(up 3.12%), SJVN Ltd.(up 2.53%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd.(up 2.10%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(up 2.00%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd.(up 1.99%) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd.(up 1.90%) were among the top gainers.

Jyoti Structures Ltd.(down 4.95%), KPI Green Energy Ltd.(down 3.57%), GE T&D India Ltd.(down 2.20%), Karma Energy Ltd.(down 1.97%), Inox Wind Ltd.(down 1.23%), Torrent Power Ltd.(down 0.95%), Suzlon Energy Ltd.(down 0.38%), Adani Power Ltd.(down 0.19%) and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.(down 0.16%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 42.71 points down at 22259.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 207.37 points at 73304.48 at around 10:03AM.
Coal India Ltd.(up 2.3%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.89%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.68%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.41%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.23%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.1%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.97%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.92%), State Bank of India(up 0.91%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.87%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.31%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down
