Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE
Premier Exp, Ashoka Metcast, Zen Tech, Elgi Equipments and Onward Tech, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:50AM(IST)on NSE. Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 29.0 points to 19468.4 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Pentagon Rubber, Magson Retail & Dist, Aatmaj Healthcare Ltd., Jainam Ferro Alloys and Cell Point(India), touched their fresh 52-week low. Overall, 27 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 23 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, Eicher Motors, NTPC, HDFC and SBI were among top gainers, while UltraTech Cem., Infosys, M&M, Adani Ent. and HUL traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 97.57 points up at 65715.41 at 10:50AM(IST). Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Electric/Electronics, Cables, Industrial Equipment and Rubber sectors, while selling was visible in Real Estate, Trading, Irrigation & Allied Services, Media & Entertainment and Building Materials sectors.
