Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 73.86 points up at 21618.7 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Astec Lifesc, Raj Rayon, Happy Forgings, Gandhar Oil Refinery and IndInfravit Trust, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 28 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 22 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Cipla, Adani Ent., RIL, HCL Tech and Adani Ports SEZ were among top gainers during the day, while ONGC, Divis Labs, NTPC, BPCL and Power Grid ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 271.5 points up at 71657.71.
Traders piled up positions in Aquaculture, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, Airlines and Diversified sectors, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Agro Processing, Logistics, General and Fertilisers sectors during the day.
