Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 247.2 points down at 21951.15 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Entero Healthcare So, Saurashtra Cem, Vibhor Steel Tubes, Capital Small Financ and Credo Brands Marketi, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 4 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 46 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, Infosys, TCS, Bharti Airtel and SBI Life were among top gainers during the day, while Power Grid, Apollo Hospital, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto and Maruti Suzuki ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 790.34 points down at 72304.88.
Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Consumer Durables, ReIT, InvIT and Retail sectors, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Logistics, Industrial Consumables, Miscellaneous and IT — Hardware sectors during the day.
