K.M.Sugar Mills(up 2.25%), EID Parry(up 1.17%), DCM Shriram Industries Ltd.(up 1.01%), Rana Sugars(up 0.85%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 0.78%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(up 0.54%), MAGADHSUGAR(up 0.46%) and Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 0.32%) stood among the top gainers.
Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 2.33%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 1.45%), AVADHSUGAR(down 1.37%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.19%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 1.16%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(down 0.98%), BAJAJHIND(down 0.89%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.85%), Sakthi Sugars(down 0.69%) and Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 0.43%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 94.35 points up at 21349.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 241.86 points at 71106.96.
Wipro Ltd.(up 6.6%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.85%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.55%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.23%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.22%), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.18%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 2.04%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.01%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 2.0%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.0%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.88%), State Bank of India(down 1.08%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.0%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.97%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.93%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.67%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.67%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.64%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.64%) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.48%) closed in the red.
