Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 4.89%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.61%), Simbhaoli Sugars(up 2.64%), Sakthi Sugars(up 2.64%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 2.42%), EID Parry(up 1.90%), Ugar Sugar Works(up 1.41%), Rana Sugars(up 1.40%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 1.40%) and BAJAJHIND(up 1.39%) stood among the top gainers.
Uttam Sugar Mills(down 1.20%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 0.85%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 0.64%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.56%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 0.55%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 0.48%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 0.40%) and Mawana Sugars(down 0.25%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 97.35 points up at 19230.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 282.88 points at 64363.78.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 5.44%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.72%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.68%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 2.28%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.28%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.04%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.76%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.73%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.73%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.57%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
