Rathi, senior vice president (SVP) of revenue and growth at food delivery major Swiggy, on Thursday confirmed that he had resigned from the firm.
ET had first reported on Rathi’s imminent departure from the firm on May 29.
Rathi was one of the senior-most product leaders in the firm, having joined it in 2016 as vice president (VP), revenue and growth. Prior to joining Swiggy in 2016, the IIT- Kanpur alumni had worked with Flipkart, Snapdeal and Walmart, in product management, omnichannel commerce, revenue and growth.
“As I look back I see how far @swiggy has come, it has already made a dent in the way many, many Indians expect convenience. It’s amongst a small set of companies that have made a generational, transformational impact in India — and it’s just getting started!” Rathi said in a post announcing his exit on micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter).
During his 7-year stint, Rathi led Swiggy’s efforts in growth marketing, customer management, Swiggy One, food marketplace, merchandising, social, design solutions, financial services, partnerships, Swiggy Labs, and meat-and-alcohol delivery, among others.
The resignation follows a slew of high-level exits at the Bengaluru-based firm. In April, chief technology officer Dale Vaz left to start a wealth-tech startup, securing between $7-10 million from Accel and Elevation Capital for the venture. In May, Nishad Kenkre who was VP of revenue and growth for
