Hardik Pandya bowled the final ball in ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the celebrations of India's victory have not ceased. Rohit Sharma & Co met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 4, soon after landing in Delhi from Barbados.
The PM hosted the World Cup champions for breakfast at his residence and also interacted with the entire team and learning about their experiences throughout the marquee tournament.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah and President Roger Binny were also present at 7 LKM and gifted Modi an Indian jersey.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated the entire team and lauded for showcasing team spirit, talent and great patience. Responding to this, Rahul Dravid said, «I would like to thank you for giving us this opportunity to meet you and during our match in Ahmedabad, you had come there as well, I agree, the time was not that good, so we are very happy that we could meet you today on this happy occasion. I would just like to say that the fighting spirit that Rohit and all these boys have shown, the never-say-die attitude that they have shown, means a lot, the credit goes to the boys, they have worked very hard for this. It is a matter of great joy that these boys have inspired the younger generation.»
