She emphasised that a Viksit Bharat (developed India) would be one free from poverty, offering quality education, affordable healthcare, and comprehensive services. The Budget's primary goal is to promote inclusive growth and ensure that no one is left behind.
«This Budget aims to initiate transformative reforms across six domains over the next five years, which will boost our growth potential and global competitiveness,» Sitharaman said. The sectors identified for reform include taxation, power, urban development, mining, financial services, and regulatory frameworks, with agriculture identified as the first engine for growth.
Highlighting the Budget's emphasis on inclusive growth, Sitharaman noted that the proposed development initiatives cover 10 broad areas, focusing on supporting the poor, youth, farmers, and women. The plan aims to spur agricultural growth, enhance productivity, and build rural prosperity and resilience.
