Amit Shah and TDP president Chandra Babu Naidu has resulted in finalisation of the seat deal between the two parties.
BJP president JP Nadda on Saturday announced the alliance between BJP, TDP and Jana Sena for the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
TDP was in NDA till March 2018 and was also part of the Modi cabinet. However, it quit the NDA on the demand of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
As per the statement, the modalities of seat sharing will be deliberated upon within a day or two. However, ET has learnt that TDP has agreed to leave eight LS seats and 30 assembly seats for BJP and Jana Sena combine. The LS seats which BJP is likely to contest are Anakapalli, Araku, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Hindupur, Rajampet. The two seats which the Jana Sena would contest are Machilipatnam and Kakinada.
