The ‘Leo’ star, who showed up at Vijayakanth’s funeral, to pay last respects to the ‘Captain’ of Kollywood, was attacked by a slipper as he made his way to his car.
In a video that is now doing the rounds on X (formerly known as Twitter), the superstar could be seen making his way through the mob to interact with the family of Vijayakanth and pay his last respects.
When he was returning to his car, the ‘Master’ actor was mobbed, and someone threw a slipper, which narrowly missed hitting him.
Sharing the clip, an X user wrote, “Actor #Vijay was attacked by some unidentified persons in the #Vijayakanth funeral place..”. The video gained 29K views and 267 likes.
Vijayakanth’s funeral took place in Chennai. The DMDK party founder was admitted to a private hospital after being diagnosed with Covid-19. He soon developed pneumonia and breathing problems, leading to him being put on a ventilator.
