The climax of «The Marvels» sees Kamala recruiting Kate Bishop, portrayed by Hailee Steinfeld, to join the ranks of the Young Avengers. The post-credits scene, however, takes a surprising turn, revealing Monica Rambeau's existence in an alternate reality where she encounters her mother (Lashana Lynch) and the mutant Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, played by Kelsey Grammer.
Vellani, who initially brought Kamala Khan to life in the Disney+ series «Ms.
Marvel,» shared her insights in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. She disclosed that the scene with Kate Bishop was initially part of an old script, but it was never filmed.
Rumors suggested that it might be revisited during additional photography, possibly with a different Young Avenger.
Vellani received the script just before additional photography commenced, and the revelation left her astonished.
“There was a version of this in an old script, but we never shot it,” Vellani explained. “Then there were rumors that we were going to get to it in additional photography, but with a different Young Avenger.
