James Wan and Taissa Farmiga are excited to be reunited with Michael Chaves, who has directed The Curse of La Llorona (2019) and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021).
In a recent interview, Taissa Farmiga revealed that Michael Chaves is a «wonderful, wonderful director. When I found out he was doing this, I was very excited».
She is thankful to Chaves for being collaborative. «I love people who are open to collaboration,» she said, adding that the director «doesn't like to waste time, which is appreciated. He has a really good sense of awareness of the present moment, as well as the big picture, which I feel, especially in these films, is so important».
James Wan also appreciated Chaves' talent and his understanding of the craft or what it takes to make «these kinds of movies».
Michael Chaves revealed that he approached directing The Nun II as a big fan of the horror universe and had no intention to try and rock the boat.
