Trying to turn the tables: The Mahayuti (grand alliance) was in disarray after the Lok Sabha fiasco, but the state government, eyeing the assembly polls, has rolled out various initiatives, including free power to farmers and Rs 1500 to women each month. In the assembly, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde mocked the opposition by saying they would be constructing additional hospitals in the state to treat all the opposition leaders for their «stomach ache» caused by all the new programmes they had implemented.

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Shekhawat went skydiving on Saturday at Narnaul, Haryana, to celebrate World Skydiving Day and to promote adventure tourism in the nation. Afterwards, the minister remarked that the skydiving experience was quite remarkable.
