The technology involves running multiple instances of the underlying protocol one after another sequentially, and when instantiated with Bullshark, the network obtains a Shoal of sharks running a relay race.

Bullshark achieves 100,000+ transactions per second (TPS) at the cost of latency, so when coupled, it will not impact TPS significantly. However, this update did not contribute too much towards the price increase of the Aptos cryptocurrency. As of June 30, 2023, Aptos traded at $7.07.

In the last 24 hours, it decreased by 2.7%.  During the last seven days, Aptos saw its low point at $6.82, with its high point at $7.90. With this in mind, in the last 30 days, Aptos decreased in value by 10.8%, and in the last 24 hours alone, it decreased by 2.9%.
