Saudi Arabia near the Red Sea that is positioned to grow into a significant center for film and television production, has recently partnered strategically with the Korean Film Council (KOFIC). Establishing training programs for young Saudi content creators is the goal of this partnership, which represents an important step in Saudi Arabia's efforts to develop its film and television industry.
These training sessions will be held in partnership with The Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), South Korea's leading national film school, at Neom, a full-service production hub in Saudi Arabia.

The program is scheduled to commence early next year, beginning with a directing masterclass and workshop at the Neon media hub, which is known for having the largest studio facility in the region.
Korean cinema has gained popularity in the kingdom since the easing of Saudi Arabia's ban on cinemas in 2017 and the reopening of movie theaters in 2018, with Korean films like «The Box» and releases by well-known bands like BTS and Blackpink finding an accepting audience. Saudi Arabia is becoming an important market for the entertainment sector thanks to its young and expanding population.
The partnership has the potential to raise production standards, foster talent, facilitate co-productions, expand international market reach, and usher in a new era of storytelling, according to Wayne Borg, Neom's managing director of media industries, entertainment, and culture.
Park Ki-yong, Chair of KOFIC, also expressed delight in the partnership, emphasizing
