Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid? Here's all you need to know
Trent Alexander-Arnold can soon get to see their favourite star play for the Real Madrid as the Liverpool right-back is close enough to sign a deal with the La Liga side as a free agent this summer.
Real Madrid has been eying Alexander-Arnold for two years. They have been making all possible efforts on their behalf since January this year to convince the 26-year-old to join their side by the end of this season, The Athletic reported.
What all to know about the possible transition
The La Liga side will be required to inform its Premier League counterparts whenever a deal is confirmed, but it has not happened so far.
Alexander-Arnold's contract with Liverpool is all set for expiry in June, while he has been permitted to sign a pre-contract agreement with the overseas club of his choice since the beginning of this year.
According to Sky News, Real Madrid is looking forward to signing him for a new, long-term contract, but Alexander-Arnold has turned down the proposals stating about his intentions to only leave once his Liverpool deal expires.

Ever since he made his senior debut at the age of 18 in 2016, Alexander-Arnold has made 349 appearances, emerging as one of the most highly effective players in the Premier League.
Since his maiden match, Alexander-Arnold has reportedly gone on to create second-most chances by any player in the league and stands behind Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.
His total 514 chances is a whopping 22 per cent higher compared to any other defender in the league, while his Liverpool teammate Andrew Robertson remains the next with 421 chances.
