Donald Trump took to the social media platform Truth Social to claim that the precedent for his decision was actually laid by Joe Biden himself after Trump was barred from receiving access to the same briefings four years ago. At that time, the reason for Trump's access cut was his 'erratic behavior', as claimed by the then Biden government, according to NY Post.
In the Truth Social post, Trump specifically mentioned that there was no requirement for Biden to receive access to classified information, and therefore his administration is immediately revoking the former President's security clearances. Trump also added that he 'does not trust Biden' with data that safeguards national security, which was his primary foundation for making his call.
