India's growth rate will be the highest among South Asian nations, according to the report titled 'World Economic Situation and Prospects 2025' by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).
For 2024-25, it pegged India's growth at 6.8%.
The South Asian region is projected to grow by 5.7% in 2025 and 6% in 2026, largely due to strong performance in India and economic recovery in other countries, the report mentioned.
The National Statistics Office (NSO) earlier this week in the first advance estimate (FAE) projected the country's GDP growth at 6.4% in 2024-25.
