UnPrisoned canceled after Season 2: What did the producers say?
UnPrisoned, the Hulu series featuring Kerry Washington, has been officially canceled after two seasons. The news was shared directly by Washington on her Instagram account, where she expressed her disappointment but also profound gratitude for the journey of creating the show.
The series, which premiered under Hulu’s Onyx Collective banner, was known for its strong focus on stories by creators of color and other underrepresented groups, as mentioned in a report by Decider.
Washington, reflecting on the series’ abrupt conclusion, stated, «This beautiful show that we poured so much of our hearts and souls into is unfortunately not coming back for a Season 3. But I wanted you to hear it from me because while we’re super duper disappointed, we’re also crazy deeply grateful.»
