minority community. The school has now been ordered to shut down as it was operating without the required recognition, reported IANS.
The incident reportedly took place on Thursday at Neha Public School, located in Khubbapur village under the jurisdiction of Mansurpur police station, and the teacher in question, identified as Trapti Tyagi, was formally charged one day after a video surfaced, revealing her involvement in the incident that occurred.
The video not only captured the teacher instructing students to physically assault a Class 2 student but also recorded her making inflammatory communal remarks.
An investigation was launched into the matter after the purported video went viral on social media. In the probe, it was found that recognition of the school ended a year ago.
Basic Education Officer Shubham Shukla said that in 2019, the school has received recognition for running classes from nursery to five.
The recognition was provided provisionally for three years, which ended in 2022. Subsequently, the school management had to get the recognition renewed, but it was not done.
Orders have been given to close the school without recognition. Further action is being taken, IANS quoted Shubham Shukla as saying.
Meanwhile, the police have charged Tyagi under IPC sections 323 and 504, both of which are non-cognizable offenses, based on the boy's family's complaint.
