Vedanta Ltd climbed as much as 1.1% on Thursday to Rs 519.95 on BSE after the metal and mining firm said that it would hold a board meeting on December 16 to consider a fourth interim dividend payout. The company disclosed this development in an exchange filing.
The said board meeting was scheduled to be held in October earlier but was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
“The meeting of the board of directors of the company is proposed to be scheduled on Monday, December 16, 2024, to consider and approve the fourth interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the Financial Year 2024-25,” the company said in an exchange filing.
Vedanta has fixed December 24 as the record date for the fourth interim dividend, if declared.
The metal and mining firm further added that “the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Tuesday, December 24, 2024.”
