Venom franchise has been given an official name and it will now be released earlier than announced. Columbia Pictures's Tom Hardy-led movie 'Venom: The Last Dance' will premiere on October 25, 2024, reports 'Collider'. Earlier it was slated to be released in November. The pre-Halloween space has worked out nicely. The film is being made to expand Sony's Spider-Man universe, which also includes 'Kraven the Hunter' and Madame Web starring 'Dakota Johnson'. Kelly Marcel, who has directed the film, has earlier worked with Hardy and the film may explore the unique possibility of Venom and Eddie Brock traveling through the multiverse.
Besides making her debut as a director, Marcel has also written the script of the film. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel and Hardy will be the producers of the film. Ruben Fleischer helmed the first Venom franchise film 'Venom' in 2018 and the 2021 sequel 'Let There Be Carnage' was directed by Andy Serkis. The two films grossed a combined amount of $1.3 billion at the box office.
