While the tale of customers getting frustrated with late deliveries is a dime, a dozen, Domino’s Pizza, one of India’s top pizza outlets, is currently going viral for taking prompt delivery service to the next level.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a very happy customer named Rishi Vaths, shared a video of two delivery executives braving the infamous traffic jam in Bengaluru to ensure the client receives piping hot pizza on time. They are seen stopping their scooter in the midst of a jam, to hand over the pizza packets to the client, waiting inside a car.
“When we decided to order from @dominos during the Bangalore choke. They were kind enough to track our live location (a few metres away from our random location added in the traffic) and deliver to us in the traffic jam,” wrote the X user.
The post went viral on the microblogging site, gaining 112K views.
While many praised the professionalism displayed in the clip, some users also pointed out that the executives who risk their health and well-being to ensure timely delivery come sunshine or rain, need to be compensated more fairly. “Domino's fulfilling their 30-minute delivery promise'...this is awesome… On another note, take a moment to consider these delivery personnel. It's truly challenging for them, navigating through heavy traffic, and still consistently meeting customer expectations...isn't…” reads the comment.
“Find them and reward them. They deserve good tip,” urged another X user.
