Virgin River season 6: Know about the Netflix series, release and cast
Netflix, is coming up with the highly anticipated sixth season of the hit drama series Virgin River. The announcement for the sixth season was made before the premiering of the fifth season.
The release date for the Virgin River season 6 has not been announced but it is expected that the release may be late 2024 or 2025. The production for the new season was put on hold due to the strike in Hollywood.
Many producers, writers, and actors made suggestions during the strikes that a 2025 release date would be more likely the longer the strikes lasted.
As the drama is quite popular among the fans, it seems the future of Virgin River looks safe on Netflix. Jinny Howe, the head of drama series at Netflix during an interview last year has said that fans may get to see more Virgin River.
The new season is expected to see the main cast of Virgin River season 5 returning. Sources say that the script writing for the Sixth season had already begun in early 2023 which was denied by Netflix then. Sources also claim that the production was to begin in July 2023 but the indefinite strike call by SAG-AFTRA has delayed the production of the series indefinitely.
This time the production of the Virgin River Season Six is scheduled to take place in Vancouver, Canada.
With regards to the plot of the series, it is not clear what is in store in the sixth season. One can assume that the new season will pick the threads from the previous part. The fact that Jack and Mel are still struggling to deal with the miscarriage will probably make their already problematic relationship even worse.
