5-star ratings in the Global NCAP crash tests. Building on this achievement, the Taigun has recently undergone the Latin NCAP crash test and has also secured a commendable 5-star rating. The Taigun model tested by Latin NCAP included six airbags, an Electronic Stability Program, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. In terms of safety ratings, the SUV achieved a score of 92 per cent for adult protection, 92 per cent for child protection, 55 per cent for pedestrian and vulnerable road user protection, and 83 per cent for the safety assist system.
The crashed Taigun model was manufactured in India. However, it is important to note that the India-spec Taigun does not include Autonomous Emergency Braking. Instead, it is equipped with Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution, Multi-Collision Brakes, Brake Disc Wiping, Brake Assist, Anti-Slip Regulation, Electronic Differential Lock System, Tire Pressure Deflation Warning, Seat-belt reminders, and front dual airbags as standard features.
The higher variants of the SUV also offer additional features such as Hill Start Assist, front-side airbags, and curtain airbags. In India, the Taigun is available at a starting price of ₹11.62 lakh and goes up to ₹19.46 lakh, with both prices being ex-showroom. The SUV is currently offered in two trim levels, namely Dynamic and Performance, and comes in five different color schemes.
