Warner Bros. Discovery's international division, issued a memo to the company's staff today outlining the new global leadership structure.
Following the recent departure of France division head Pierre Branco, Warner Bros.
Discovery (WBD) has appointed Clément Schwebig to oversee multiple regions, including France, Benelux, Afrique, Allemagne, Autriche, and Suisse. Meanwhile, James Gibbons will now take charge of the Asia and Western Pacific regions, which will be consolidated into a single APAC region.
This reorganization effectively expands the responsibilities of both Schwebig and Gibbons to encompass additional territories.
Fernando Medin will continue to lead Latin America, and Kasia Kieli will remain in charge of Poland. The remainder of the leadership structure will remain unchanged.
Branco's departure marks the fourth high-ranking executive exit from WBD in recent months, following the departures of EMEA boss Priya Dogra, Hannes Heyelmann, who led Germany, and Robert Blair, the former head of international TV distribution.
In his memo, Zeiler acknowledged the challenges posed by the current macroeconomic environment and the rapid changes in the entertainment industry.
He noted that navigating these challenges is not easy but emphasized the company's readiness to succeed due to its well-defined strategy, valuable intellectual property (IP), and content production capabilities.
Branco had assumed the role of France division head just one year ago, having previously served as the country manager for WarnerMedia in France, Benelux, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as the head of affiliates and ad sales for EMEA. A source close to the company indicated that Branco's departure was his own decision.
