Naidu's emotional moment with PM Modi came after he took oath for the fourth time as the CM of Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in his political career. The ceremony, held on June 6, 2024, was attended by a host of political leaders and celebrities, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Chief JP Nadda, and Tollywood actors like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and Ram Charan.
Naidu's return to power comes after a long wait of five years, during which he remained determined to reclaim his position as the CM. His victory in the recent assembly elections, where the TDP-led alliance secured an overwhelming majority, paved the way for his comeback.
It was just few years back, in 2021, when Naidu broke down at a press conference, accusing YSR Congress MLAs of making inappropriate and personal comments about his wife, and vowed to return to Andhra assembly as a CM.
