RCB) batsman and star India batter Virat Kohli has slammed the trolls who were 'dissapointed' after seeing him hugging Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir.
«Log bohot disappointed hog aye hain mere behavior se. Naveen ke saath maine jhappi daal li, us din Gauti bhai ne aake mereko jhappi daal di. Matlab, tumhara masala khatam ho gaya to boohoo kar rahe ho. Abey bache thodi na hain yaar (People are very disappointed with my behavior. I hugged Naveen, and then the other day Gauti bhai [Gautam Gambhir] hugged me. Now that they don't have anything juicy, they've started booing. We are not kids!),» said Virat.
The row between Kohli and Gambhir started in 2023 when during an intense match between RCB and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). During the match Kohli had an intense argument with Naveen-ul-Haq and Amit Mishra. The exchanges spilled over and Kohli found himself in a heated exchange with LSG opener Kyle Mayers, prompting Gambhir (then LSG mentor) to intervene. This action appeared to provoke Kohli, leading to a fiery exchange between Gambhir and Kohli. The confrontation reached its peak as both men exchanged heated words, with teammates attempting to mediate.
Later when LSG won a match against RCB at Chinaswammy Stadium, Gambhir shushed the home crowd.
