Wednesday season 2 has been renewed on January 6, 2023, surpassing all the expectations and becoming one of the most hit Originals on Netflix in its history, and not only one of the biggest in 2022.
On January 6th, Netflix made the confirmation that the show would be returning for season 2, though an estimate of the number of episodes that season 2 will consist of has not been provided by Netflix.
Before Summer, 2023, the titles on Netflix were ranked by it based on its 28 service days. Utilizing that system, Wednesday turned out to be the second-largest English language show in history with only season 4 of Stranger Things being ranked at a higher position. Since then Netflix has brought a change to its top 10 list to 91 days, with Wednesday recording 1.72B watch hours which is equivalent to 252M concluded viewing counterparts.
