The decision for protest came on Thursday when the CBI submitted a Status Report in the Supreme Court.
The junior doctors said that they are disappointed and unhappy with the progress of the probe by the central agency and postponement of dates in the Supreme Court. The dates have been postponed twice in the Supreme Court and a hearing was conducted today.
“It is 90th day of injustice. In the city and rural areas people are demanding justice and they are still fighting. On the 90th day, Abhaya has not yet received justice. Highest probe agency’s investigation can raise doubts. Threat culture in Medical Colleges still continues. In this situation, in order to ensure justice to Abhaya, offer people their basic right to proper health care systems, we urge every citizen of the state to fight,” a WBJDF member Kinjal Nanda said.
He urged people from all walks of lives, commoners from both urban and rural areas to join the protest on November 9. “We invite all the citizens to participate in the protest rally on November 9 from College Square to Esplanade,” he said.
