WeWork India debuts in Chennai with launch of first co-working space in the city
Flexible workspace provider WeWork India on Thursday opened its first Chennai co-working space in Olympia Cyberspace in Guindy, making this the 55th building for the company in the country.
The facility spans over 130,000 sq. ft. and has 2,000 seats available across two floors. It has also already signed on members like Wheelocity Fresh, Molex India, Dr. Wamser + Batra India and H2O LLC.

Further, he said there is a strong demand being witnessed from various industries including agri-tech, IT/ITES/ HR, among others. The flourishing manufacturing space in the city is another key differentiator when compared to other cities.
«The cost per desk is around Rs 13,500 per month in Chennai,» Virwani said. «Our pricing across cities varies and even within the same city, differs from location to location. For instance, in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the cost per desk is Rs 60,000 per month and in some part of Bengaluru could be hovering around Rs 30,000 per month.»
