Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump's nominee for health secretary, reportedly kept a secret diary filled with candid reflections on celebrities, political figures, and family. The New York Post claims to have accessed the diary which discovered after his second wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, died in 2013.
In the diary, Kennedy called actor Tom Hanks a “chronic complainer” after an event in February 2000, despite acknowledging Hanks’s success. “I thought the guy was a chronic complainer when he seemed to have the best luck on Earth,” he wrote in February 2000, as claimed the the Post.
He questioned news anchor Paula Zahn’s political leanings in January 2000, writing she “turns out to be a right wing zealot or an innocent who has swallowed all the tripe that the GOP propaganda machine produces daily.”
During a 1999 trip to Los Angeles, Kennedy noted Bruce Willis’s slight build, contrasting it with the actor's on-screen persona. He also recounted a conversation with Rob Reiner, who described Willis as “a libertarian of sorts and was Republican.”
Kennedy also dined with Larry David, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Billy Crystal.
