Aadhaar is over, many individuals who have not linked their PAN status is inoperative now. According to the CBDT circular, “Under the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961(the ‘Act’) every person who has been allotted a PAN as on 1st July, 2017 and is eligible to obtain Aadhaar Number, is required to intimate his Aadhaar to the prescribed authority on or before June 30, 2023, on payment of a prescribed fee.” However, there are some people whose Aadhaar has been linked to the incorrect PAN or the Aadhaar of their minor child. What should be done if minor’s Aadhaar is linked with major’s PAN?In case the Aadhaar of minor is linked with PAN of Major and user is not able to submit request with correct PAN and AADHAR, user must first submit a delinking request to your JAO (Jurisdictional Assessing Officer) and get minor’s AADHAR delinked from PAN.
