WhatsApp's new 'Admin Review' feature for beta lets users screen offensive messages

WhatsApp is trying out a new feature called 'Admin Review' in order to help make group chat management better. According to WaBetaInfo, the feature, currently being tested in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.16.18, offers an additional layer of control to group admins, particularly in their absence.

It will let people in a group report messages that they think are not okay or rude to the group admins. After a message is reported, the admins will then see it in a special section of the group info page. They will then have a choice to either remove the message for everyone or take necessary action. They can either remove the message for everyone or decide what to do about it, like maybe kick out the person who sent the not-so-nice message.

'Admin Review' gives group admins more power to keep the chat safe and friendly. “This feature empowers the group to maintain a safe and respectful environment within the conversation,” the report by WaBetaInfo said.

The admin review feature for group chats is available to some beta testers that install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Google Play Store.
