White House has issued a response to Elon Musk's recent amplification of a Twitter post that allegedly propagated an antisemitic conspiracy theory. White House spokesman Andrew Bates stated that repeating the appalling falsehood associated with the most egregious act of antisemitism in American history is unacceptable, especially just one month after the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Bates was specifically referencing the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh and the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
Bates added that White House condemns the abhorrent promotion of antisemitic and racist hate in the strongest terms, which runs against the core values of Americans.”

On Wednesday, Musk endorsed a Twitter post where a user asserted that Jewish communities engage in the same kind of divisive animosity against whites that they decry and want others to refrain from using against them. The post was said to promote the «great replacement theory,» suggesting that Jewish people aim to bring non-white undocumented people into Western nations to diminish the influence of whites. The perpetrator of the Tree of Life shootings had embraced this theory.
Later, Musk attempted to clarify his post, specifically mentioning the Anti-Defamation League as a group that unfairly criticizes the majority of the West, despite the majority of the West supporting the Jewish people and Israel.
